Primavera tile

Year 2018
Manufacturer Mutina

Primavera started with the idea of fabricating a product that evoked the character of a natural material. Rather than try to create a design that reproduced nature’s scope for endless variation, the strategy adopted was to identify a method for manufacturing an infinite variety of imperfections.

Each unique large format tile is created by scattering small ceramic inserts in saturated tones randomly onto one of five different colour bases - white, grey, green, blue and black - to create flecked surfaces whose irregularities are perceptible to the touch, as well as to the eye. The collection is suitable for use on interior and exterior walls and floors.
