Tibbo furniture family

Year 2016
Manufacturer Dedon

The Tibbo collection of furniture consists of a dining chair, four sizes of dining table, two sizes of bench, a lounge chair, sofa, sun lounge, coffee table and side table. Each of the pieces is handcrafted from sustainable, slow-growth teak, chosen for its weather resistance and durability, even in extreme conditions, meaning that the collection is equally suited to indoor and outdoor use.

The character of the wood itself is a defining aspect of the designs, in conjunction with the refined nature of the detailing - the meticulously turned arms and legs, the dynamic clarity of the vertical and horizontal elements and the gentle, sail-like curve of the chair backs.

  • 67

  • 68

The collection’s name is a reference to the leading, post-war British textile designer Tibor Reich. Slightly adjusted, Reich’s first name becomes an acronym for Teak Index by Barber Osgerby.
